To anyone who reads this.
Happy Mother’s Day. Today has been so much fun for me. I got to sleep in until roughly eleven thirty thanks to my wonderful husband taking over all toddler duties for the day, and got to hang out with my adult friends as we browsed the open shops for various things for our homes. We of course practiced social distancing and took safety precautions as well. I made another mom friend today and we might have a playdate set for this week! So many exciting and wonderful things have happened that have kept me on my toes and made my time fly by in the blink of an eye. I was actually so busy that I hadn’t prepared a blog for this week, and for that, I do apologize.
Today however, is a day of recognition for all the moms in the world, and everybody has one. Thank you to all the moms; the step moms, single moms, double moms, bonus moms, furbaby moms, reptile moms, bird moms, insect moms, scale moms, any and all moms. This is a thank you for the single dads as well who fulfill the extra role as a mom. Anyone who has raised any sort of child, or anything they consider to be their child, can attest that sometimes it gets rough. The days aren’t always easy to get through. The nights are sometimes just too long, or way too short. You don’t ever get enough sleep, sometimes you get little to no privacy. Priorities get arranged, and then rearranged. There’s no by-the-book way of doing anything correctly and you do your best with every situation.
I will say that I am blessed. I have an amazing husband, who works so hard to keep a roof over our heads and food on our table, and gives me the luxury to stay at home and take care of our child I know some don’t have. I am blessed and fortunate. I love my life that I have, the person I chose, and who chose me, to be their partner in life and to grow old with. We support each other through thick and thin, even if that means arguing sometimes because we don’t always see eye to eye. I love him with all my heart, and this Mother’s Day, I’m so happy and blessed to be the mother of our child, and I wouldn’t trade any moment of it for the world.
So to any mother of any kind, today of all days I would like to say from my family to yours, Happy Mother’s Day. I hope your day was wonderful and full of light and love.
A very special thank you to my mom as well. I love you, and I’m sorry if I was a handful at times, but thank you for all the effort you put into raising me, and trying to give me the best life you could. Thank you for always believing in me and my dreams that changed at the drop of a dime. Thank you for always supporting me through my personal growth and as an adult trying to figure everything out. Thank you for being there when I was way too stubborn to ask for help, and even when I never did. I love you mom, and I hope and aspire to be even a fraction of the mother to our child, that you were to me. Thank you, and I love you. Happy Mother’s Day mom.
